FAQs

Do you take insurance?

Dr. Stember is out of network for all insurance plans and does not participate with Medicare but will provide an itemized statement that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Reimbursement from insurance providers depends on your specific plan.

How is my credit card information kept secure?

When you schedule a visit you are required to enter credit or debit card information. The card on file will be encrypted by the payment processor company Square. Square has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. The card will be automatically charged $1.00 as a confirmation check that the information is valid. After your video visit with Dr. Stember, the card will be charged the agreed amount and an invoice will be sent to you upon request. Scheduling a visit does not require any phone calls or delays - simply click on the calendar to select any available date and time that works best for you. A secure Google Meet link will be provided once the appointment is confirmed.

When will I get appointment reminders?

24 hours before the scheduled visit time: email reminder

1 hour before the scheduled visit time: email and text message reminder

When it’s time for my appointment, how will I connect with the doctor?

An individually-generated Google Meet link will be provided in your calendar invite as well as in your confirmation email and text reminders.

At the scheduled visit time, simply tap the Google Meet link to connect directly into your real-time video visit (no need to sign in!). If you don’t have the Google Meet app on your phone, you will be prompted to download it. It works well and it’s easy to use.
